Redzepi Resigns from Noma Following Abuse Allegations

René Redzepi has resigned from Noma, the internationally acclaimed Danish restaurant he co-founded, following allegations of abuse and assault. The celebrity chef acknowledged responsibility for his actions after a recent investigation detailed claims of physical and psychological abuse against staff. Allegations include instances of physical violence, such as punching employees and using kitchen implements to jab them, as well as slamming individuals against walls. Redzepi also faced prior reports concerning mistreatment of staff and the long-term use of unpaid interns. The resignation follows protests in Los Angeles, where Noma recently launched a four-month pop-up. Redzepi has also stepped down from a non-profit board as a result of the accusations.
