Taylor Farms is voluntarily recalling more than a dozen prepared food items, including salsas and guacamole containing jalapeños, from retailers across 26 states. The produce supplier is removing these items from grocery shelves due to concerns over salmonella contamination.
The company initiated the recall after being notified that Coast Citrus Distributors was recalling fresh peppers.
Taylor Farms stated it is unaware of any reported illnesses linked to the recalled items. This action comes just weeks after federal health officials tied the company to a separate outbreak of cyclospora.
