A giant sinkhole opened up Tuesday morning, causing the driveway of actor Nicolas Cage's beachfront coastal mansion in Malibu to collapse.

The 30-foot crater formed after heavy rain in Southern California as Hurricane Marie slammed the shoreline.

The incident has led to the evacuation of surrounding properties, with at least five homes declared unsafe for entry.
