JetBlue pilot reports striking drone during landing at New York's JFK

A JetBlue Airways Corp. flight hit a drone on Monday morning while preparing to land at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

According to air traffic control audio, the pilot reported that the drone struck the aircraft just above the cockpit.

The FAA stated that the passenger aircraft landed safely and reported no damage. This incident comes a few days after the crew of a separate flight reported spotting a drone while on approach to a nearby airport.
