Bank of America Settles Epstein Case for Millions

legal proceedings

Bank of America has agreed to a $72.5 million settlement in a lawsuit brought by Jeffrey Epstein victims. The suit alleged the bank’s executives ignored warnings about Epstein’s sex trafficking operation while providing him with banking and investment services.

Plaintiffs claimed the bank overlooked signs that Epstein’s accounts were used to facilitate abuse. The lawsuit asserted the bank failed to act on multiple “red flags” connected to his activities.

Bank of America denied any wrongdoing as part of the agreement. However, attorneys for the plaintiffs stated the settlement offers the best path forward for their clients.

A court hearing to approve the deal is scheduled for April 2nd. The suit was filed by an unidentified woman representing herself and other alleged victims.
