Top seed and world number two Elena Rybakina won the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart for the second time in her career. On Sunday, the 26-year-old defeated Karolina Muchova 7-5, 6-1 in straight sets to clinch the title and drive away with a Porsche car.
The match lasted 1 hour and 18 minutes, during which Rybakina converted four of her eight break-point opportunities. Muchova, who previously won in Qatar, was seeking her third career title in her second final of the year.
To reach the final of the WTA 500 indoor clay-court tournament, Rybakina brushed aside Russian sixth seed Mirra Andreeva 7-5, 6-1 in the semi-finals on Saturday. This victory marks the first time Rybakina has won a repeat title, after claiming 12 in different tournaments previously.
