Unitree Robotics, the world's biggest humanoid robot maker by sales, began trading on Shanghai's Star market on Wednesday. The company is the first publicly traded humanoid robot maker in mainland China.
The listing follows an initial public offering last week, through which the company raised 6.1 billion yuan, cited as both $904 million and $905 million.
Shares of the humanoid-robot startup rose 542% on their first day of trading. This debut serves as a key test of market appetite and could unleash a fundraising frenzy across China's robotics sector.
