President Donald Trump traveled to Medora in western North Dakota on Wednesday, marking his first trip aboard the new Air Force One. The aircraft, a refurbished Boeing 747, was gifted to the United States by the Qatari government last year.
Members of the Trump administration showcased the plane's lavish interior for the first time as the president departed. The Air Force stated that it spent less than $400 million on security upgrades and did little to change the cabin layout of the plane.
The Qatari donation of the aircraft has sparked both ethical and security concerns.
