An Air Canada Express airplane collided with a fire truck at New York’s LaGuardia Airport in March. The runway collision resulted in the deaths of two pilots and left at least six other people seriously injured.
Officials have since determined that two air-traffic controllers left their shifts early on the night of the accident.
The US Federal Aviation Administration is now taking steps to fire the two controllers who left work early before the collision occurred.
