Toyota is shifting the production of its popular mid-size Tacoma pickup truck from Mexico to its manufacturing campus in San Antonio, Texas.

The move is part of a $3.6 billion investment in the Texas facility to boost overall vehicle production.

The carmaker will build a second production line at the San Antonio plant, which currently produces full-size pickups and SUVs. This expansion is expected to add approximately 2,000 new jobs by 2030.
