Kanye West has postponed his concert in Marseille, France, originally scheduled for June 11th. The decision follows efforts by France’s Interior Minister, Laurent Nunez, to block the performance.
Nunez is seeking to prevent the concert due to the artist’s past antisemitic remarks. Sources indicate the minister is “highly determined” to ban the event at Marseille’s Velodrome stadium and is exploring all available options.
This postponement comes a week after the UK announced it would also block West from entering the country, where he was set to headline a music festival. The artist has faced significant backlash in recent years, losing fans and commercial contracts following controversial statements, including antisemitic and racist remarks, and expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler.
