The trial for the killing of former Argentine rugby international Federico Martin Aramburu is set to open in Paris on Monday. Four people, including two linked to France's extreme right, will stand trial for the death of the retired rugby star.

The shooting took place at a bar in the French capital near the Boulevard Saint-Germain following an altercation. The incident occurred in 2022, and the trial opens more than four years after Aramburu was shot dead.
