A four-story apartment block containing seven apartments collapsed on Tuesday in the Petralona area of Athens. Four people were reported trapped following the incident.
Firefighters, police, and emergency services were deployed to the scene to conduct an ongoing search and rescue operation. Local media footage showed rescue workers walking amid the rubble searching for signs of life.
The cause of the collapse has not yet been clarified. However, local media reported that construction work was underway in an adjacent building.
