Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman chaired a consultative meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Jeddah on Tuesday. This marked the first in-person gathering of Gulf leaders since their states became a front in the Iran war two months ago.
The leaders met to address the fallout from the conflict, projecting unity though stopping short of concrete steps as uncertainty and divisions persist. Qatar's emir stated that the high-level summit embodies a unified Gulf stance towards the war.
Attacks have subsided since the U.S. and Iran entered a ceasefire on April 8. Despite this, Gulf capitals remain wary of resumed conflict.
