A Swedish court has ordered Alphabet's Google to pay approximately 14.3 billion Swedish kronor in antitrust damages to PriceRunner, a price-comparison service owned by the Klarna Group. The ruling, issued by the Stockholm Patent and Market Court, marks the largest competition damages award in Swedish history.

The court found that Google illegally favored its own comparison shopping service in search results for many years. The ruling stated that PriceRunner suffered damage because Google manipulated search results and abused its power in the market for comparison shopping services.

PriceRunner filed the lawsuit in 2022, seeking around 2.1 billion euros in damages. The company alleged that Google breached antitrust laws by favoring its own comparison shopping services over competitors.
