A judge in Utah is expected to rule on Tuesday whether Tyler Robinson, 23, will stand trial for the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Kirk was shot dead at a Utah university nearly a year ago.
At a 10 a.m. hearing in Provo, District Judge Tony Graf Jr. will decide if there is sufficient evidence and probable cause to move forward with the trial. The judge is expected to hear arguments concerning evidence that was introduced in July.
The ruling will also determine whether prosecutors may seek the death penalty for the murder of the prominent figure of the US right. Robinson has not yet entered a plea.
