Two drones were spotted flying over a key military base in western Germany late Thursday, authorities said on Saturday.
The incident occurred just two days after an explosive-laden drone was found on the tarmac at Leipzig/Halle Airport, a major cargo hub in the eastern part of the country. The armed unmanned aircraft was discovered near a Ukrainian Antonov Airlines cargo plane.
Reports indicate that drone sightings over civilian and cargo airports have been occurring more frequently.
