On Saturday, the FDA stated that a sample of shredded iceberg lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms tested positive for the parasitic illness. However, officials later withdrew this result, clarifying that the sample produced a false positive. As of Sunday, the agency reported that it has found no confirmed positive sample results for the parasite.
In an abundance of caution, Taylor Farms has recalled iceberg lettuce grown and processed in central Mexico. The company confirmed that the specific product tied to the false positive test result is not part of the current recall.
