A federal appeals court has ruled against Joe Biden, clearing the way for a conservative advocacy group to obtain redacted transcripts and audio recordings of interviews he conducted with a memoir ghostwriter before being elected president.
The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit denied Biden's request for a temporary block, which sought to prevent the Justice Department from releasing the recordings and transcripts of the conversations with his biographer.
Although Biden disagrees with the court's rejection, a divided three-judge panel has suspended the decision until August 3. This delay provides Biden additional time to consider whether to pursue a further appeal.
