Max Verstappen wins Singapore F1 sprint and first Grand Prix victory

Max Verstappen achieved a perfect weekend at the Singapore Grand Prix, securing both the sprint race and the main event. Verstappen won an incident-packed sprint race after George Russell crashed out of the lead, finishing ahead of Lewis Hamilton to claim his first victory of any kind in Singapore.

The four-time world champion also earned his first pole position in Singapore, beating the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. This milestone was significant as Verstappen had never won or achieved a pole position in nine previous attempts dating back to his 2015 debut for Toro Rosso.

Despite needing to improve on some recent horrendous starts from pole position, Verstappen took a dominant victory in the Singapore Grand Prix. This win marked his second dominant victory within a week and secured his first win in the Republic.
