A Delta Air Lines flight was struck by a high-flying firework while descending into Chicago on Saturday. The incident occurred as the city celebrated the Fourth of July holiday.
The aircraft came into contact with the firework during its landing at Midway International Airport. According to the airline, a crew member reported feeling a "big bang" as the plane was coming to land.
There were 52 passengers and six crew members on board at the time of the incident.
