More than four years after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, diplomacy remains at a standstill. The two countries have ramped up long-range strikes, leading to a growing number of civilian casualties.
Ukraine has resumed its assault on Russia's fuel-producing industry, with the Ukrainian President confirming strikes on two more oil facilities deep inside Russian territory. These attacks included the Slavneft-Yanos facility in Yaroslavl, one of Russia's biggest oil refineries situated hundreds of miles from the border. The overnight strikes left four people injured.
Meanwhile, Russian attacks have killed six people and injured dozens in Ukraine. At least three civilians were killed during these strikes as Ukraine struggles to rebuild its air defenses.
