Malawi continued their giant-killing run at the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations by defeating Algeria 3-1 in a semi-final match on Wednesday in Rabat. The victory secures Malawi a place in the championship match.
Sisters Tabitha and Temwa Chawinga led the effort, sharing all three goals in the win. Tabitha Chawinga scored twice, while Temwa Chawinga added one more to seal the victory over Algeria.
Malawi will now face Cameroon in the final. Cameroon earned their spot in the championship match after defeating the hosts, Morocco, in a penalty shootout in the other semi-final.
