Ukrainian forces hit two of Russia's biggest oil refineries overnight in a series of long-range strikes. The attacks are part of a broader effort by Kyiv to deepen economic, military, and diplomatic pressure on Moscow.
Ukraine specified that the strikes targeted a refinery owned by Rosneft PJSC, the largest oil producer in Russia. This operation marks the first attack on a major oil-processing facility in nearly two weeks.
The strikes took place hours after President Zelensky visited Washington on Tuesday. During the visit, Zelensky held talks with Trump to push for more vital American help.
