Manchester United have confirmed the signing of midfielder Youri Tielemans from fellow Premier League side Aston Villa on a five-year contract. Both clubs announced the agreement on Tuesday, July 14.
The 29-year-old Belgium midfielder joins for approximately £35 million. Following the move, Tielemans stated that he wants to help the club push for the biggest trophies.
This signing follows the recruitment of another midfielder, 22-year-old Andrey Santos, who joined from Chelsea on Monday. The deal for Santos was for £48 million plus a possible £2 million in add-ons.
