President Donald Trump has signed a memorandum to bring an end to the Iran war. While the conflict is not exactly done and dusted, the U.S. president has already turned his sights toward ending another conflict.

On Tuesday, Trump stated that Russia should make a deal to end its four-year war in Ukraine.

During a 55-minute call with President Putin, Trump told the Russian leader that a quick end to the Ukrainian conflict could open the door to improved U.S.-Russia relations and herald a new quality of ties between the two nations.

Trump added that he would meet bilaterally with the Ukrainian leader later.
