President Donald Trump spoke with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to request the lifting of restrictions on Ukraine's use of the Starlink satellite system.
Musk, a critic of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, had previously ordered a slowdown of the SpaceX communications system. Although the military-grade system appeared to be working more normally on Thursday soon after the call, Ukraine has reported ongoing issues with slow transmission speeds.
Trump stated that Musk had put it back, but he declined to comment on the process that led to the lifting of speed and access restrictions. He also declined to comment on who called for the capping of Starshield for Ukraine.
