Nathan Chasing Horse, an actor in Dances With Wolves, was sentenced to life in prison by a Nevada judge on Monday. The sentence follows his conviction for the sexual assault of Indigenous women and girls.

The actor was convicted in January on 13 of the 21 charges he faced, although he was acquitted on some counts. He was accused of exploiting his position as a spiritual leader to commit the crimes.

Three women brought the accusations against Chasing Horse, including one victim who was 14 years old when the assaults began.
