HiPP baby food recalled in Central Europe after rat poison found in some jars

Baby food brand HiPP has recalled products and pulled jars off shelves across Central Europe after poison was discovered in some items over the weekend.

The recall follows findings that samples tested positive for rat poison in Austria, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. Authorities have acted to remove the affected HiPP-branded baby food from store shelves in these countries.

Austrian police reported that a tampered jar contained rodent poison. While five manipulated jars have been retrieved safely, police warned that one more could still be in circulation in Austria.
