President Trump has established a new presidential technology council focused on artificial intelligence policy and science-related issues. The council will be known as the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
The group includes prominent figures from the tech industry, such as Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, and Oracle Executive Chairman Larry Ellison. Google’s Sergey Brin is also among the 13 members appointed to the council.
The council’s primary role will be to advise on policies impacting the development of AI. Venture capitalist Marc Andreessen is also included in the newly formed group of advisors.
Notably, the composition of the council excludes some key players currently shaping the artificial intelligence landscape.
