Serena and Venus Williams returned to doubles action on Monday night at the Cincinnati Open, marking their first time competing together since the 2022 U.S. Open.

The sisters were defeated in a thriller by Marta Kostyuk and Peyton Stearns. The match ended with a final score of 2-6, 6-1 (10-8).

Despite the opening round loss, Serena and Venus Williams said they had a good time making their return to the court.
