Thousands forced to evacuate as Aspen Acres wildfire spreads in Colorado

environment natural disasters

The Aspen Acres Fire continues to burn out of control, marking one of approximately 40 large, uncontained blazes currently burning primarily across the western United States.

Located in Pueblo and Custer counties, the fire has already destroyed homes and forced residents to evacuate.

These wildfires are being fueled by months of dry weather and a record lack of snow this past winter in some regions.
