Lindsay Clancy, a 36-year-old former nurse, was involved in a murder trial regarding the 2023 deaths of her three children: 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan. The trial ended in a mistrial last week after the jury split 11-to-1 over whether Clancy is criminally responsible for the killings.
On Tuesday, Clancy's attorney, Kevin Reddington, spoke for the first time since the mistrial to discuss what comes next for his client. During his statements, Reddington asked President Donald Trump to pardon Clancy.
However, the president's pardon power applies only to federal crimes, and Clancy was prosecuted under state law.
