sports football

NFL owners voted unanimously on Wednesday to approve the sale of the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks from Paul Allen's estate to a group led by the Khosla family. The buying group is led by billionaire and 49ers limited partner Vinod Khosla and Neeru Khosla.

The franchise was sold for $9.612 billion, which sets a new NFL record for a franchise sale.

This transaction marks the largest team sale in league history and the second-highest valuation in North American sports history. It also ranks as the third-biggest sports deal ever.
