Prometheus, an artificial intelligence startup co-led by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and co-CEO Vik Bajaj, has raised $12 billion in a Series B funding round. This investment values the physical AI company at $41 billion.
The round included contributions from Bezos, JPMorgan Chase, BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, DST Global, and Arch Venture Partners. Following a $6.2 billion funding launch in November, the company's total funding now exceeds $18 billion.
The startup aims to automate heavy engineering and drug design to accelerate industrial engineering projects. This development further establishes Bezos as a significant player in the AI boom.
