Tadej Pogačar won the 10th stage of the Tour de France on Tuesday, claiming victory in Le Lioran on Bastille Day. The Slovenian four-time champion launched a blistering solo attack to secure his third stage win of the current race and his 24th career stage victory.

Pogačar stamped his authority with a break just over 900 meters from the summit of the Col de Pertus, the penultimate climb of the hilly stage. After powering past Richard Carapaz, he reached the summit 5 seconds ahead of Carapaz and 18 seconds ahead of rivals including Jonas Vingegaard, Remco Evenepoel, Florian Lipowitz, Juan Ayuso, and Paul Seixas.

At the finish line, Remco Evenepoel arrived 32 seconds behind Pogačar, while Paul Seixas finished third, 34 seconds back. Jonas Vingegaard finished 44 seconds behind Pogačar, extending the yellow jersey holder's overall lead to 3 minutes and 36 seconds.

This victory represents the biggest lead Pogačar has ever had at this stage of the race. The performance also allowed Pogačar to turn the tables on Vingegaard at Le Lioran, the site where the Dane had beaten him two years ago.
