Russia and Ukraine have engaged in a series of overnight strikes, resulting in civilian casualties on both sides. Russian officials reported that Ukraine launched hundreds of drones targeting approximately 15 regions, including annexed Crimea and Tatarstan in central Russia.

In one of the deadliest attacks since the start of the invasion, a Ukrainian drone strike hit industrial and civilian targets in the city of Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan, the site of a major oil refinery. This attack killed 12 people and wounded 39 others. Additionally, drone attacks in Russia's border region of Belgorod killed five people and injured around two dozen more. Russia stated it intercepted 456 drones during these operations.

Simultaneously, the Kremlin has intensified its bombardment of Ukrainian cities. Over a 24-hour period, Russian attacks killed 13 people and wounded approximately 90 others. In the Kharkiv region, missiles struck a high-rise apartment building, killing two people, while other strikes near the front line in the same region killed five. Several more individuals were injured in the Black Sea port of Odesa.
