Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Jamal Musiala has revealed a diagnosis of a neurological dysfunction after collapsing on the pitch twice within a four-day period.

The 23-year-old winger experienced the first incident during a friendly against RB Leipzig on Saturday. He fell to the floor again on Tuesday night during a friendly with Heidenheim, occurring eight minutes after he entered the match as a substitute.

Musiala stated that he is suffering from treatable absence seizures. Despite the episodes, he remains very optimistic about his condition and has insisted that there is no long-term health risk.
