Ukraine carried out a large-scale attack on industrial infrastructure in Russia's southwestern Samara region on Saturday. President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the strikes hit an air base and a rocket plant.
The operation in the Samara region utilized domestically produced Flamingo missiles. As part of ongoing strikes against military and related infrastructure deep within Russia, Ukraine also attacked a production unit of the Roscosmos space agency.
Additional strikes were conducted against an oil facility in Ust-Luga and the Savasleyka air base. Zelensky stated that the air base houses aircraft used to carry out missile attacks.
