The U.S. Army and Morocco's Royal Armed Forces have recovered the remains of the second U.S. soldier who went missing during military exercises in Morocco. Spc. Mariyah Symone Collington, a 19-year-old from Taveres, Florida, was located on May 12 at a rocky cliff site in the Cap Draa area.

Collington and 1st Lt. Kendrick Lamont Key Jr. had been missing since May 2. The two service members, who were taking part in the African Lion joint military exercises, fell off a cliff during an off-duty recreational hike near Tan Tan in southern Morocco.

The recovery followed intensive search operations conducted by search teams in coordination with U.S. forces. The multinational effort deployed air, naval, and artificial intelligence assets to locate the missing personnel. The remains of 1st Lt. Key Jr. had been recovered the previous week.
