Drone Strikes Damage Russian Baltic Ports, Oil Exports Plunge

Ukrainian drones have once again damaged Russia’s Baltic Sea port of Ust-Luga, according to the governor of the Leningrad region. The attacks are adding to Russia’s challenges in exporting oil.

The overnight drone strikes targeted key infrastructure for Russian crude oil exports, marking a continuation of Ukraine’s intensified efforts against Russian energy facilities. These actions aim to limit Moscow’s revenue from rising oil prices.

This is not the first instance of damage to Ust-Luga, a crucial oil export port on the Baltic coast. Recent attacks have resulted in the lowest weekly shipments from Baltic ports since the start of the conflict.
