An unnamed woman has formally withdrawn her allegations and recanted a lawsuit filed in 2024 against rapper Jay-Z, also known as Shawn Carter. The woman previously claimed that the billionaire music mogul raped her when she was 13 years old.
The initial lawsuit alleged that Jay-Z, along with Sean Combs, known as P Diddy, drugged and raped her at a party following an MTV awards ceremony in 2000. However, the woman now states in a new court filing that she has never met the rap superstar.
The accuser further claims that her lawyers filed the lawsuit without her. This retraction has now become part of a case Jay-Z is pursuing against the lawyers who had represented the woman.
