German director Wim Wenders has announced that he is pulling his 1975 film "Wrong Move" from circulation. The decision follows controversy surrounding a scene in which actress Nastassja Kinski appeared topless at the age of 13.
Kinski has spent years calling for the removal of the sexualized scene without success, stating that the filmmaker did not protect her during the production.
In a statement released Wednesday, Wenders apologized and recognized that the actor should have been better protected during filming. He has instructed streaming, TV, and distribution partners to no longer make the film publicly accessible to block future access.
