Meta Platforms is rolling out a new Incognito Chat feature for its artificial intelligence assistant on the WhatsApp messaging service. The company announced the update on Wednesday, stating that the move aims to address data privacy concerns.
The incognito mode allows users to interact with the AI chatbot privately, ensuring that conversations are invisible to anyone, including Meta. These chats are not saved, and messages will disappear by default once the user closes the chat.
However, a cyber security expert has raised concerns regarding the feature, noting that the deletion of chat history could lead to a lack of accountability if things go wrong.
