Ukraine takes aim at Russia's economy and morale by attacking Wildberries

Ukrainian drones have been pummeling depots belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, in a campaign to bring the war home to the broad public. Since mid-July, these attacks have occurred almost every day, including a recent strike on a warehouse near Moscow that was part of one of the largest recent attacks on the broader capital area.

Over the course of six weeks, Ukraine has successfully targeted Wildberries hubs seven times, knocking out seven of the company's ten largest logistics hubs. These strikes have burned an estimated billions of dollars' worth of merchandise.

Ukraine states that the attacks are intended to disrupt Moscow's military logistics and front-line shipments. However, experts suggest the campaign is disrupting Russia's economy and poses wider economic risks.

The campaign has shaken the empire of Tatyana Kim, the country's richest female entrepreneur, whose fortune was estimated at $8.1 billion before the strikes began.
