Ugandan school attack leaves four children dead

A man killed four children in a machete attack at a nursery school in Kampala, Uganda on Thursday. The attack occurred at the Gaba Early Childhood Development Program.

The assailant gained access to the school by disguising himself as a parent. After briefly speaking with the school administrator, he locked the gate and began attacking the children, resulting in four fatalities.

Police quickly responded and took the suspect into custody. An angry crowd gathered near the school, and officers fired into the air to disperse them.

The motive for the attack remains unknown, and such incidents are rare in the city of Kampala. The suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
